MAXAMAR 25TH ANNIVERSARY REVIEW – DOM
Summary: My first thought is “wow this cigar looks sexy.” After a puff, I’m salivating way more than usual. Ginger spice on the retro hale brings some zing while cream on the palate brings some… froth? One ash tap down, cinnamon raisin rolls and chocolate build up the flavor pyramid which has a base of bready mouthfeel.
The second half features much of the same breadiness with baking spices, but the lot is sadly more muted than before. The spice travels down from nose to tongue at the finish.

Pairing Suggestion: Coffee with cream

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack
MAXAMAR 25TH ANNIVERSARY REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought lots of pepper early, earth, walnut, caramel, coffee, and a slight bit of cream. It was mostly dominated by the earth and pepper notes. I'd have preferred less of those dominant notes and more of what was hiding behind them.
The burn was wavy at times, but not problematic.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Eating the inside of assorted chocolate candy, but it's been rolled in dirt and pepper
Pairing Suggestion: Bourbon
Perceived Strength: Medium
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single
MAXAMAR 25TH ANNIVERSARY REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Kicked off salty, woody, and toasty with vanilla. Remained this way until the half where it switched off to graham crackers and baking spice – just enough kick to round everything off.
This cigar definitely reminded me of something I’ve smoked and enjoyed before.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: The melody of Sunday Morning by Maroon 5
Pairing Suggestion: Carajillo
Perceived Strength: Medium
