In 2019, Nicholas Melillo captured our attention with an event-only pack of cigars that included two cigars with a Candela wrapper, two cigars with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, and one cigar that had a barber pole of the two wrappers. 

Melillo chose the name Grasshopper because of the origin of the word used to describe cigars. Cigarra translates to Grasshopper, and this name became the root word for cigars as grasshopper fields began growing tobacco. 

We’ve always been big fans of Melillo and the sensory journey that he takes all of us on with his brand. Grasshopper specifically caught our eye because it’s not often that you get to enjoy each components of a barber pole cigar. And it was with great pride that we were chosen to receive an exclusive boxed set of The Grasshopper! 

Due to the nature of The Grasshopper, only complete boxes will be available for sale. To ensure as many people as possible could enjoy this flavor expedition, 480 boxes were produced.
