ROOM101 FARCE NICARAGUA REVIEW – DOM
Summary: This cigar burns to the tune of white pepper, oak, and cherry Pepsi minus any sweetness. Stabilizing around leather and a deep floral note (petunias?), the flavors leave me content.
In the second half, peanuttiness and brown sugar bring that missing sweetness to the table. Somewhere out there a cuckoo bird must have just gotten it’s wings because I’m straight up tasting Cocoa Puffs cereal like it’s breakfast time in middle school. Getting better along the way, this smoke would be my choice when checking emails.

ROOM101 FARCE NICARAGUA REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought notes of leather, hickory, cocoa powder, peanut, and some black pepper. It really delivered on the cocoa notes - if you're looking for a cigar in that flavor profile, this one stands out with how much cocoa it brought.
The burn needed attention at times to keep it even.

ROOM101 FARCE NICARAGUA REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Opens up nice and easy for me but not without a cayenne pepper introduction. The most cedar I’ve ever tasted sits in the back of my throat. WHOA! But in the second half, cedar switched places with earth with overlapping pepper on my retro; I'm gonna say it's red. It’s salty and toasty at the same time. This cigar opened my nasal passages up like Vick’s. Last third gets a little spicy. Tip of my tongue pretty much numb. It lingers a bit. It’s not as smooth but the flavor kept me guessing.

ROOM101 FARCE NICARAGUA REVIEW – TED
Summary: At first glance, this wrapper looks pretty smooth. With a little closer inspection, there is actually a fair amount of tooth there.
Right off the line, a spicy mix of floral notes and oak with a long finish of coffee, nuts and umami flavor. Further in, the spiciness vanishes faster than Tom Brady’s 8th Super Bowl plan. The whole profile has mellowed a bit though. It’s a much creamier mixture of oak, citrus, black tea, earth and walnut.
As I reach the middle, the ash is still hanging on. Kudos. A+ construction. The burn and smoke production is on point. The profile is heavier with peanut flavor, specifically. Also, dark notes of earth and black tea with an all around citrus flavor to it…almost a bit much for me.
Huh. Getting a little bitter in this last part. It’s odd because the cigar itself is very cool to the touch; not hot at all. So, it’s a bitter mix of coffee, charred wood, umami, nuts and earth. Much darker notes than I expected from the appearance of the cigar. Each portion of this stick was very different from the other.

Pairing Suggestion: Rum… maybe the sweetness would lift the profile

Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
