Happy Wednesday, folks!
I hope you’re enjoying your short Labor Day work week, and hopefully with a few cigars to boot.
I’m starting to prep for several days of travel, and I find myself downloading cigar-related podcasts. Which brings me to this week’s discussion contest:
Which cigar podcasts do you listen to, if any?
I can’t wait to hear what the fan favorites are! Rather than highlight the big ones that we all know about, I’ll throw out a few of my personal favorite underdogs in the industry.
Here are a few of my personal go-to cigarcasts from the last time I traveled:
Sultans of Smoke Podcast: I must admit bias here, because a contributor to our Blind Review Panel brings the bull weekly on this cigarcast, and once upon a time I used to skype in from the train tracks. You’ll also recognize Drew from the original Sultans of Smoke review site and boutique cigar brand, Mo from Patina Cigars, and Danny from RoMa Craft. They call it the Lounge In Your Pocket, and this podcast is similar to being in a lounge and kickin’ it with the crew.
The Ash Holes: This podcast is recorded in front of a live audience with all of the structure, studio sound quality, and sponsors that you’d expect. If you’re into the traditional Radio sound, these guys have nailed it down! You can tell these guys have been around the industry for a while, and there’s always up-to-date reviews on the latest cigar releases. Oliver from United Cigars also appears from time to time on this show, albeit less frequently than way back when. Whereas the other two shows are rated R, this show remains more wholesome.

The Lounge Experience: If you’re familiar with Amy (@blossomsmokess) and Erica (@errican) from social media, you know exactly why you have to subscribe to this podcast if you haven’t already. These ladies throw down on a weekly basis and bring in plenty of interesting guests. There’s usually plenty of whiskey flowing as well, which makes every conversation feel like you’re at the cigar bar with friends. This cigarcast just launched earlier this year and it’s already climbing a lot of mental lists!
Note: There are loads of great cigar-related podcasts out there and this author's intent is not to show favoritism from Small Batch Cigar, but rather highlight some lesser known talent in our community that deserve consideration.
Tell Us! What are your favorite cigar podcasts and why?
