PUNCH CIGAR CITY MADURO REVIEW – DOM
Summary: This toothy wrapper’s smiling at me. I must have gotten too close because bitter leather bites in the first few puffs. Though the bitterness quickly dissipates, no pronounced flavors help to prop up this mild-to-medium bodied smoke. Subtle baking spices on the retro call to mind horchata.
I really couldn’t pin point any other tasting notes, but this review feels lacking, so I’ll add a superfluous one: tobacco.

Pairing Suggestion: Cognac.
Perceived Strength: Mild-Medium.

PUNCH CIGAR CITY MADURO REVIEW – RICH
Summary: We've got chocolate, earth, spice, oak, pine, and espresso notes in this cigar. The chocolate dominated for most of the cigar, and the spice built up over time to become reasonably strong.
The draw and burn were both on point; construction was quite good.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: A box of chocolates.
Pairing Suggestion: Coffee with cream.
Perceived Strength: Full-
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
PUNCH CIGAR CITY MADURO REVIEW – BEN
Summary: The sight of an oily brick red wrapper gives immediate promise; nice smooth introductory puffs followed up with unexpected snow flurries. Crap! Ash frays every 3-4 puffs but that doesn’t take away from what I find to be a lovely oaky and meaty flavor; the aroma reminded me of someone smoking brisket. Hello cinnamon!
Midway through, cinnamon envelops into baking spices that settle nicely in the tongue and espresso beans offers me a nice wake-up call.
Not gonna lie, it's giving me after dinner vibes but without the super heavy body most carry.
And I like that. Flavorful enough to cap the night but not overbearing enough not to finish.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Dinner on jazz night.
Pairing Suggestion: Dominican Rum.
Perceived Strength: Medium+
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Box.
PUNCH CIGAR CITY MADURO REVIEW – TED
Summary: This cigar has a dark, toothy wrapper with a cold draw tasting like chocolate covered raisins.
Cocoa, earth, coffee, and a faint mint note to start. Leaning towards the middle section, flavors are transitioning to black tea, warm notes of leather and earth with a very mild pepper spice. The burn line isn’t the straightest or prettiest, but this thing is producing a lot of smoke immediately.
The middle section begins with pretty strong earth and wood notes which are slightly sweet. They’re complemented by a mild mixture of coffee, grilled meat, and mild black pepper.
The final section of this cigar isn’t really changing much from the middle flavors and while it’s very familiar, meaning similar to the middle, it’s still enjoyable enough.
If You Like That, You Might Like This: Cigars with dark flavor profiles.
Pairing Suggestion: Guinness stout.
Perceived Strength: High end of Medium.
Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack.
