CASA 1910 CUCHILLO PARADO REVIEW – DOM
Summary: Buttermilk and hay call to mind Cream of Wheat but without added sugar. Half an inch in, jasmine tea with honey balances out the profile. Dried flowers and pretzel sans salt have me wondering when the flavors are going to stop flowing.
The second half starts with honey and macadamia nut. Feeling a tad bit dry, my palate could use a drink pairing to keep my saliva glands spitting, but water is just fine. If there were a right season to smoke this cigar, it’d be summertime—vacation mode activated.

CASA 1910 CUCHILLO PARADO REVIEW – RICH
Summary: Holding this cigar, my initial impression is that there's sloppiness to it. The cap is especially messy - it's beyond 'rustic' and moves into 'someone didn't make this with care' territory. Let's see if the flavors make up for it.
They don't. I get a lot of mint, hay, sourdough bread, vegetal notes, brown sugar, and pepper. It's a combination that I just can't enjoy. It's discordant.
The burn and draw were both fine, so there weren't any real construction problems aside from its sad outer appearance.

CASA 1910 CUCHILLO PARADO REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Red pepper flakes and the smell of summer grass w/copious amounts of smoke in the first draw. Back-to-back retro hales offer a bitter sourdough note; wow, that's very smooth.
The wonkier the burn line, the saltier it tastes but that milky retro hale sweeps the idea of thirst away. Momentarily. *sips coffee* anyway.
I'm surprised by the whiff of a black tea leaf taste; that's new for me! As my discovery grows, so does my thirst. The notes aren't changing much for me in the second half but the ones I have I don't mind.
It's shaping up to be a very flavorful midday indulgence. My regret - drinking coffee. I think it contributed to my thirst more than the cigar. Accountability.

CASA 1910 CUCHILLO PARADO REVIEW – TED
Summary: This week’s cigar is a tightly wrapped little robusto. Just a hint of visible tooth on the leaf. Cold draw carries a pretty prolific barbecue hickory smoked beef jerky flavor.
With some heat on the foot I can instantly tell you that none of that hickory beef jerky flavor is initially present on the palate as I expected. I am tasting a salty and slightly spicy mixture of fresh oak, peanuts, and very mild coffee. Nearing the end of this first third I am tasting a little bit of that hickory flavor. Also, I will say the ash was hanging on quite nicely for a long time.
The middle section is changing slightly. Fresh cut oak, leather, and a salty version of lemon grass along with some mild coffee build the bulk of the profile. The retro hale is relatively smooth, featuring much of the same.
Last chance effort for this smoke. Final third. Nice smooth wood notes; still oak. The lemongrass is changing to a straight lemon peel, very forward citrus flavor. I feel a little lingering tingling (usually that’s good I think) reminiscent of red pepper. Time to talk construction. It's been consistently perfect in draw resistance, smoke production and burn. Bottom line, I liked the construction more than the flavors, but you should try it for yourself.
