SOMM BDX REVIEW – DOM
Summary: The beginning of this cigar brings some nice notes of cream, vanilla wafer, and a touch of banana sweetness. Past the tapered foot, flavors become linear. That being said, only once did I get any bitterness. The strength on this little missile beats out a lot of Connecticuts that I’ve smoked. While this cigar won’t win any “cigar of the year” awards, it was a decent quick smoke that I wouldn’t hesitate to give to someone just getting into cigars.

SOMM BDX REVIEW – RICH
Summary: This cigar brought notes of cedar, lemon, black pepper, a bit of earth, and just a bit of cream on the end.
Construction was on point; nothing to complain about there.

SOMM BDX REVIEW – BEN
Summary: Opens up like wet grass on a hot day with a tickle on the nose - whew! It settles into something toasty and creamy but not sweet. After about ten puffs, it started to run hot. It was consistent in flavor, not too many twists and turns. Pretty solid smoke but not as memorable as the size and shape.

SOMM BDX REVIEW – TED
Summary: This cigar was a nicely tapered cigar with a smooth wrapper, and a very open draw.
The beginning profile notes included a creamy mix of hay, leather and a mild citrus-floral note combination. There was a mild pepper spice note as well.
Towards the middle, things continued to be and enjoyable featuring a creamy mix of mild wood notes, coffee, leather, hay, and a lingering lemon finishing note. The retro hale was smooth and carried just a bit of pepper spice.
The last section was more prominent with wood notes and a very long finish of hay, leather, coffee, and cream. This would be a great cigar first thing in the morning and would also be a perfect introduction for a new cigar smoker.

Participants in this blind review were completely unaware of the cigar they were evaluating until all submissions were received and processed. Each participant was asked to answer a summary paragraph, an if/than statement, a pairing suggestion, and a purchase suggestion. Cigars were provided by Small Batch with only the expectations of candid responses. All pictures, information, and formatting were completed by a Coordinator outside of the reviewing process.
