WILDFIRE ARTAOIS REVIEW – DOM

Summary: From the nice oils on the wrapper, I’m guessing this cigar is going to be quality.  Black pepper and cocoa bring dark, rich flavors while the strength surprisingly sits between mild and medium.

Wheat thins and peanut shells in the second half have this cigar tasting… healthy.  Even toward the finish, the strength plays it cool.  Yo quiero ligero!  Give me something bubbly and a little sweetness to set this cigar off.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Taco Bell

Pairing Suggestion: Orange wheat beer

Perceived Strength: Mild+

WILDFIRE ARTAOIS REVIEW – RICH

Summary: This cigar brought notes of earth, pepper, cream, clove, and dark chocolate. It wasn't the most complex cigar I've smoked, but it was entirely enjoyable.

It was well-made, with no construction problems.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Easy Sunday mornings

Pairing Suggestion: Pumpkin spice latte

Perceived Strength: Medium

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack

WILDFIRE ARTAOIS REVIEW – BEN

Summary: Charred oak and hickory sweetness to start. There's something heavy about the body yet rewarding about the lingering floral note in the first half. The last half took a nosedive for me: no new defined notes besides an influx of leather and heat. The taste got a little dirty.

Tastes like a lot of popular blends on the market so far.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: This being the only cigar to smoke you smoke today

Pairing Suggestion: Red blend wine (something sweet)

Perceived Strength: Full

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: Single

WILDFIRE ARTAOIS REVIEW – TED

Summary:  This week’s cigar is Robusto sized cigar and is starting with flavors of peanuts, almonds along with a mixture of cocoa, and earth. Just a little further in, notes are a little more complex with a much deeper and luxurious mix of wood, bran flakes, just a pinch of brown sugar, and a very mild floral note.

I’m really not certain what is happening in the middle of the cigar but the flavors just kind of fell out of the picture and even though the construction still appears to be just fine, the cigar is bland.  There is a very small void in the very center of the cigar but I’m having a hard time believing that is the root of the issue with the flavors being muted. I am noticing that smoke production has dropped off quite a bit in the center as well so maybe that void is responsible after all.

Right on cue, as I start the end portion of this cigar, the flavors have started to return, and things seem to be looking up a little bit.  This makes me to want to give this cigar the benefit of the doubt.

With the increase in smoke production towards the end, I’m getting a very bold mixture of dark fruit, dark earth, slightly charred wood, and roasted nuts, with a long floral and leather finish.

If You Like That, You Might Like This: Skipping the main course, and just feasting on appetizers and desserts

Pairing Suggestion: Double Old Fashioned

Perceived Strength: Medium

Purchase Recommendation to a Friend: 5-pack
